Detailed list of the available options

Disabled (Default):

This setting disables the auto dark mode feature. Web pages will load in their original color scheme, regardless of whether they support dark mode.

Enabled:

Automatically converts light-themed web content into dark mode, applying a default conversion across websites that don’t natively support dark mode.

Enabled with simple HSL-based inversion:

This mode applies a simple color inversion based on the HSL (Hue, Saturation, Lightness) color model. It adjusts the colors to make them darker but keeps the overall look of the page relatively unchanged.

Enabled with CIELAB-based inversion:

This mode uses CIELAB color space to perform color inversion. CIELAB is designed to approximate human vision, so this mode may provide more visually accurate conversions of light pages into dark mode, especially for websites with complex color schemes.

Enabled with RGB-based inversion:

This mode converts web pages into dark mode by inverting the RGB (Red, Green, Blue) values of colors. It’s a more straightforward color inversion technique and can sometimes result in harsher contrasts.

Enabled with selective inversion of non-image elements:

This mode enables dark mode only for the text and other non-image elements, leaving images and videos unaffected. This can be useful for maintaining the original look of media content while still applying dark mode to the rest of the page.

Enabled with selective inversion of everything:

In this mode, dark mode is applied to all elements, including images and videos, by selectively inverting colors based on their context. This can result in a consistent dark mode experience across the whole web page, including media content.

Enabled with increased text contrast:

This option applies dark mode to web pages while also boosting the contrast of text. It ensures that text remains readable in dark mode, even if the conversion process makes it difficult to see.
